The Changing of the Guard

Something for the little people today...some gorgeous socks for the little man.  These were a gift from his wonderful auntie, but they are currently available in Cath Kidston in store and online here.

I absolutely love these, and thought I would share as sometimes boys clothing can be a little dull. I am often a little jealous of mums of girls and all of the amazing clothes that are available.  This is not because I am a fan of pink (you will soon learn I don't really do pink), but because there is just so much more choice for girls, and there is also some really cool sparkly stuff (yes I am a magpie)!  But I have to say that Cath Kidston really has come up trumps here.  They are a little punchy at £15 for a pack of four, but they are really good quality and so so cute.

There are also loads of other cheaper options available too for those of us on a budget, or who don't have wonderful aunties to buy our children gifts!  H&M is one of my favourite places to buy boys socks.  These are currently online and very similar to the Cath Kidston ones but only £6.99 for a five pack - what a bargain!  If you buy them today you can also get a further 10% off with the code 6402.

Leopard Lovelies

Just a quick post.  I thought I would share my recent purchase from Zara.  I absolutely love this (did I mention I am addicted to leopard?) and they were such a bargain.  Ok, so it may be a little cold right now to wear these, but come spring/summer you will thank me for pointing these out.

At £15.99, whats not to love, easily affordable before payday.  I bought these in store, but I've checked and they are still available online so grab them whilst you can.

They also have these gorgeous leopard boots, much more practical for this cold weather and which have now been further reduced to only £19.99, but I found them a little loose fitting on the ankle and they somehow didn't look quite right on me, but maybe you may have better luck styling them.

Hi!

So  here goes...I've been considering starting a blog since I belatedly discovered the world of blogging whilst on maternity leave with my first son.  Here we are three years later and I've finally got around to it.  Yes, yes, I know I'm slow to the game, but I'm a little lazy, a busy full time working mum, the queen of procrastination and if I'm honest a little scared of this blogging thing.  So the start of a new year, a little emotional trauma and I've decided to face my fears and jump right in.

Although I've thought/dreamed a lot about this blog, I'm still not quite sure where this is going to go.  It's partly for me to share my thoughts and ideas including
  • my love of fashion and finding great buys on a (sadly) limited budget
  • food and recipes that I love
  • my interiors plans and makeovers
  • my travels (I am very lucky and have a hubby who travels for work and I sometimes get to tag along for the ride, visit some amazing places and stay in some great places along the way)
and perhaps too, my memories.  Our gorgeous boy is growing up so quickly and I wanted to find some way to capture it all.

So, as you've probably gathered I'm a bit of a rambler, but hopefully writing this blog will help me to get better at this?! If anyone is out there reading, thank you and welcome to the world of From Choo to Goo.
